Children

Children are a particular joy to the church.  We work with special care to ensure that our young ones are provided for in a meaningful way so that they may learn more about our Lord and Savior in a safe, engaging environment which teaches them skills they can use both inside and outside the church walls.

Sunday School – 9:45a

Sunday School classes are provided for children ages two years through sixth grade.  The curriculum introduces young people to biblical stories, concepts, and doctrine.  Nursery care is provided for children under two.

Sunday Morning Service – 11:00a

Children under two are welcome to stay in the nursery for continued play and Bible stories.

Sunday Evening – 6:30p

Nursery is offered for children from birth through age two.

Pre-Primary and Elementary Children (children aged three, four, and five and those enrolled in elementary school grades) attend BAM! – First Baptist’s Bible, Art, and Music program.  This program meets for one hour in the Education Building and is designed to teach children more about the Bible and Jesus Christ through the study of God’s Word, creative moments, and structured play.  The children’s music program is steeped in tradition and will work to create the choir members of tomorrow.  This program will teach our children memorable, easy-to-understand songs about our Savior which feature music fundamentals and dramatic elements to be acted out in front of parents at special church-wide productions.  Also, the children enrolled in the Boys' and Girls' Choir will learn sacred hymns and participate in Sunday Morning worship from time to time.

Wednesday Evening – 6:30p

Nursery care is offered for children from birth through age four.

Elementary Children (children enrolled in elementary school grades) attend missions-themed activities and teaching through Girls-in-Action, Royal Ambassadors, and Mission Friends. Through these activities, children will learn about world cultures, other nations, and the important work of the missionaries who are serving both at home and abroad.
