Adult English – 9:45a

Lectionary Study

Main Floor, Room 110 (Chapel)

Teachers: Janie Snyder, Tom Wilkins

This intergenerational class uses a variety of study materials, some denominational and some reflective of FBC's ecumenical theological tradition. Class discussions usually draw upon weekly reading assignments and related scriptural texts from Smyth & Helwys. We enjoy a free exchange of ideas in an atmosphere of friendship. One of our primary objectives is to find relevant scriptural approaches to life. All are welcome.

Baptists:  What's in a Name? – 9:45a

Upper Floor, Room 213

Teacher: Logan Engle

What's in a name?  Often, we find names carry special meanings and give us important context about persons, places, and things.  Join with this small group, led by Logan Engle, each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. as we examine our church's very own middle name:  Baptist.  Believe It or not, being Baptist means more than just committees and covered dish suppers.  Whether you came into a Baptist church on the cradle roll, have found your way somewhere along the way, or just walked into First Baptist for the first time, this group will equip you with a foundational understanding of the who, what, when, where, why, and how of being a Baptist!

Adult Spanish – 9:45a

Main Floor, Room 102 (Brown Memorial Parlor)

Teacher:  Fernando Diaz

This fun and welcoming group is taught in Spanish and includes singles and couples of all ages and connects the Bible with life choices and current issues.
