TOO MANY PEOPLE IN UNICOI COUNTY ARE FOOD-INSECURE.

ONE WAY WE CAN HELP IS THROUGH THE MAIN STREET MARKET ON THE FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH.

Our member-led food pantry, the Main Street Market, is open to all and provides families with sustenance, regardless of means.  First Baptist Church of Erwin’s Main Street Market Food Pantry exists to serve the needs of the food insecure in Erwin and Unicoi County, Tennessee. Through our monthly food distributions, our church is able to reach hundreds of families each year. Our mission is to be in Christ for community and to be in community for Christ. The Main Street Market is one way First Baptist diligently works toward this goal.

NO GIFT TOO SMALL, NOR TOO LATE.

Every month, we request that members and faithful friends donate a food item to benefit the pantry.  These items may be deposited on the table in the lobby.  Each one goes into a box to help an individual or a family toward food security and to stave off hunger in Erwin and Unicoi County.  Every time you donate an item or monetary gift to the Main Street Market, you help boys and girls, men and women, and senior adults who are of lesser means who deserve the dignity of wholesome meals and good nutrition.

MAKE A PROMISE NOW.  GIVE TODAY.

The First Baptist Church of Erwin believes that the stewardship of life is a crucial dimension of

Christian discipleship. We believe that God calls everyone to creatively partnership with Him

in the care of His creation and the healing of the world. This involves the dedication of one’s

time, talents, and treasure to the work of God and that the fruits of our dedication will be

evidenced in the world. When we acknowledge that all we are and all we have are gifts

from our gracious God, we may become joyful stewards and generous givers of ourselves,

our time, and our material resources.
