First Things First

At the First Baptist Church of Erwin, worship is deepened and enhanced by the beauty of God's Creation here in beautiful Erwin, and the sweeping, modernist sanctuary where we offer ourselves to God as a congregation.

In worship, we sing hymns to God accompanied by piano, organ, and choir; listen to special musical offerings; discover Scripture readings from both the Old and New Testaments; pray for each other, our community and our world; and hear a message by our pastor. From time to time, we celebrate God's grace and redemptive power through Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Worship is carefully planned in order to connect the elements of the service with the context of the world in which we live and our church's and community's rich history to engage congregants in new ways.
