A Place for Everyone

Introducing a Sensory Space in Brown Parlor

Our church family is made up of many different people, each with unique, beautiful ways of experiencing worship. For some, our large Sanctuary filled with people and music can feel overwhelming—especially for children, individuals with sensory sensitivities, or those who simply need a quieter setting. To help meet these needs, we are opening a Sensory Space in Brown Parlor during the Worship Hour.

This room will provide a calm and welcoming “living room” setting where lights are dimmed for comfort, and a closed-circuit television set is available for viewing the service. The Sensory Space allows worshippers to remain connected to the congregation while experiencing God’s presence in a way that feels safe and supportive. Offering this space is one more way we live out our calling to ensure that everyone has a place in our First family and in the family of God.

Introducing a Mother’s Room in the Babies’ Nursery

We are grateful for the gift of new life in our church family, and we want to support mothers as they care for their little ones. During the Worship Hour, a Mother’s Room is available in the Babies’ Nursery, adjacent to the Chapel. This space provides a private, comfortable setting for nursing and caring for infants while still remaining connected to the life of the church.

After all, babies are the future of the First Baptist Church, and we welcome and celebrate them with joy!
